I had so much fun with my Summer bingo card last year that I made one for my goals this year. Let the games begin!

On November 22nd, I was officially announced as one of five Outstanding Volunteers for the New York Junior League. The League is a women-powered volunteer organization that focuses on improving the health and well-being of women, children, and families in NYC. Each year, the nonprofit chooses five members and honors them as Outstanding Volunteers, and I am honored to be part of this year’s Outstanding class.
The soiree was a fun, memorable night, and I’m so proud to be part of such an impactful organization. Here are pictures of the night!

As Thanksgiving weekend closes, I want to take the opportunity to share what I’m thankful for.
My family

My friends

My teams

My hobbies

My adventures

This year, I was invited to watch the parade at my friend’s apartment. She has an amazing view of Sixth Avenue.
Here are some pictures of the parade.

At the beginning of summer, I created a bucket list of things I wanted to do and created a bingo card. As fall officially starts tomorrow, I took the time to reflect on everything I accomplished.
Here is my summer bingo card.

Not a blackout, but I definitely got a bingo!
This summer was filled with great moments!

We were also so lucky to travel this summer. We visited my family’s beach house in Shirley (which I already wrote about), the Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania, and the beautiful island of St. Thomas.
We visited the Great Wolf Lodge for our wedding anniversary. Maxi loved the water park and all the activities on-site.

In August, we went to St. Thomas with my husband’s family. We had a blast, and it was gorgeous!

Now, I’m ready for the fall!
I started taking a swimming class at my local YMCA. I can swim, but I’m not as good as I used to be. I’m taking a water stamina class, and for not swimming in a while, I think I did okay. It was hard and it kicked my butt but I can only improve from here. Seven more classes to go!

This past Sunday, I got a guided look at the Old Masters and 19th Century European paintings and works of art at Sotheby’s with the New York Junior League’s WOC Affinity Group.
I’ve never been to Sotheby’s before. It has a museum-like feel but with the bonus of being able to touch the art.
Our Sotheby’s specialists went over some beautiful pieces. What I loved the most was that they spoke about the art itself, the framing and significance of the touch-ups, and the caring of the artwork. One of the highlights of the experience was looking at some artwork under black light to make comparisons.
Overall, it was an amazing experience. I look forward to visiting again and checking out a collection before it is auctioned off or experiencing a live auction.
Here are some photos of the day.

Early last month, I had a pretty awesome ladies’ night out at Pearl & The Beast.
You pick a muscle, open it up, collect the pearls, clean them, and decide what to do with them. I got a good haul of pearls, so I got two rings and two earrings done. They had someone onsite who put together the jewelry. Bonus; I actually got the earrings for free because they were doing a promotion at the time.
It was hands-on, informative, and fun! I highly recommend checking it out.
