I took my daughter on a mini adventure on Friday. We took the LIRR to Grand Central and enjoyed the YOYO Art Exhibit.

We got Luke’s after for a yummy snack.

My daughter Maxine had her piano recital earlier this month. It was held in the Church in the Gardens in Forest Hills.
The venue was beautiful. Maxine did her best. We practiced, but she kinda froze up. It happens. This will be the first of many, I’m sure.

I had a fantastic Mother’s Day.

Every first Saturday of the month, Home Depot has a kids’ craft workshop. In April, we made a planter, and this month we made a keepsake box. It’s a fun activity we really look forward to each month.

Last week, my daughter Maxine and I had another mother daughter adventure watching The Magic School Bus at Queens Theatre.
I was never into the show when I was younger, but it’s fun watching it with her now, and it was great seeing this live show. She was really into it and loved seeing the characters come to life.

My daughter and I enjoyed the Wild Kratts live show last week in Brooklyn. If you are watching a show at Kings Theatre, I highly recommend you get the family pack. It includes popcorn and a drink, plus access to their speakeasy area, where you can get a drink and use the bathroom (no lines!).

My daughter participated in her first fun run today! Super proud of her, especially because she fell, and she just picked herself up and kept it moving. It also helped that a young boy helped her and made sure she was ok 🥰.

I think there will be more runs for her in the future.
Every first Saturday of the month, Home Depot has a free workshop for kids where they make something. In January, my daughter made a toy truck. In February, she made a penguin mailbox. Today, she made a leprechaun trap.
Here are some pics of my daughter making the penguin mailbox in February.

Here are some pics of today.

Looking forward to the workshop in April.
On Sunday, my daughter and I got to watch Gabby’s Dollhouse Live at King’s Theatre in Brooklyn. My daughter loved it!
